Here are four updates on saliva testing that Becker’s has reported on this summer:

1. Oral Genome partnered with Henry Schein to expand the use of salivary testing in dental and medical offices.

2. Smile Source, a network of independent dental practices across the U.S., and SimplyTest, a salivary technology company, partnered to integrate SimplyTest’s dental salivary test to Smile Source’s practices.

3. SimplyTest launched a molecular test to detect microbial species linked to peri-implant disease and implant failure.

4. OrisDX raised $4 million to support the launch of its saliva-based multiomic platform for the detection of oral cancer.
