Align Technology has filed a complaint under Section 337 of the Tariff Act to block Angelalign from importing clear aligners.
The complaint alleges that Angelalign’s aligners incorporate patented technologies from Align without Align’s authorization, according to a Sept. 23 news release from Align.
Align is seeking an exclusion order to stop the importation of the products into the U.S., as well as a cease and desist order to stop the sale of Angelalign products that are already in the U.S. market.
In August, Align Technology filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Angelalign, which denied the infringement accusations.
