Appleton, Wis.-based Fox Valley Technical College celebrated an expansion to its dental program, according to an Oct. 7 report from CBS affiliate WFRV.

The school invested $2.1 million into growing its dental program, adding six more treatment chairs and opening a new lab with 12 dental simulators.

A state grant, as well as a $170,000 contribution from the Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation funded the project.

Leaders at the school expect the new facilities to address the dental workforce shortage across 34 of Wisconsin’s counties, the report said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
