The American Dental Association has given the 2025 Humanitarian Award to William Kane, DDS.
Dr. Kane is the founder of the Smiles of Hope Dental Clinic in Dexter, Mo., which has provided more than $9 million in dental care to more than 11,000 patients since its opening in 2010. He has also run a general dentistry practice since 1980, according to an Oct. 23 news release.
The Humanitarian Award is one of the ADA’s highest honors, celebrating member dentists who have worked to significantly improve the quality of life and oral health of individuals for at least 10 years.
