Here are three highlights:
1. Currently, the teledentistry program is working to develop innovative ways to reach community members who do not have access to care. The grant will allow them to purchase a third mobile unit to expand the program.
2. The teledentistry program transports dental students as well as equipment to various community partners. Patients in turn received fluoride varnish treatments, dental screens and dental education.
3. Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health students treat hundreds of patients, including adults with disabilities at recreational centers, youth in detention centers and low-income seniors.
