Two office managers of an Indiana dental office pleaded guilty Jan. 16 to defrauding Medicaid of $365,000, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Trystan Arch, 36, and Justyn Arch, 39, previously worked as office managers at Arch Complete Family Dentistry. Justyn Arch, who was also vice president of the practice, managed the Crown Point, Ind., office, while Trystan Arch managed the Chesterton, Ind., office. Their father, Joseph Arch Sr., DDS, was president of the practice until his death in 2017.

The two brothers admitted to using their father’s dental license to bill Medicaid for $365,000 from 2015 to October 2017 for surgeries that were never performed. They also admitted to filing a false tax return, according to the report.

The brothers must now repay nearly $120,000 to the Indiana Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and $63,000 in restitution to the IRS.
