Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental grew its network to more than 1,900 supported dental practices in 2025, according to a Jan. 28 news release from the DSO.
Here are nine more notes on the company’s growth last year:
- Heartland Dental supported practices completed 11.5 million patient visits in 2025.
- The DSO opened 75 de novo practices, completed 19 practice relocations and expanded 27 existing supported practices.
- More than 30 practices were added through strategic affiliations.
- The acquisition of Smile Design Dentistry, added 60 locations in Florida.
- In November, Heartland Dental launched the Orahh Care Dental Community, a network of independently owned and operated practices.
- The DSO expanded and deepened its partnerships with dental technology companies Align Technology, VideaHealth and Kwikly.
- The Heartland Dental University offered more than 1,300 continuing education courses, with Heartland Dental members completing nearly 100,000 courses in total.
- The Heartland Dental Foundation provided more than $220,000 in assistance to employees facing hardships.
- The DSO’s supported practices delivered more than $2.8 million in free dental services in 2025.
