Here are five things to know:
1. The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America’s DSO supports 63 offices in Texas, California and Alabama.
2. Western Dental will add 36 supported offices in Texas, which are currently branded as South Texas Dental. The DSO will also take on 13 California practices, which are branded as Access Dental.
3. In Alabama, Western Dental will acquire six Vital Smiles offices.
4. The transaction is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
5. Western Dental currently supports 249 practices. With the acquisition, the DSO will support 312.
