Here are six lawsuit settlements that have taken place in the dental industry since June 18:
- Three Washington dental practices agreed to pay a combined $1 million to resolve allegations of fraudulent Medicaid billing.
- Wyssta Services, which operates an online portal for certain Delta Dental plan members, agreed to pay nearly $12.7 million to settle allegations that it installed advertising and analytics tracking technologies without users’ knowledge or consent.
- MCNA Dental agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit stemming from a 2023 LockBit ransomware attack that affected nearly 9 million people.
- Langhorne, Pa.-based Infinity Dental agreed to pay $1 million to settle allegations that it misled patients into purchasing expensive dental services by falsely claiming Medicare would cover the costs.
