The private equity firms behind 12 DSOs

Several DSOs have landed private equity investments over the last few years to fuel growth.

Here are 12 DSOs that have gained private equity funding in the last few years:

1. Denver-based Lone Peak Dental Group received a $15 million mezzanine debt investment from o15 Capital Partners, an alternative investment firm. The investment will support the DSO’s operational growth initiatives and provide additional capital for practice acquisitions and expansions. The transaction is the second investment made by o15 Capital Partners into Lone Peak Dental Partners. The firm provided $25 million in financing to the DSO in 2024. 

2. Detroit-based Motor City Dental Partners received financing from Brightwood Capital Advisors, a private credit firm, in 2025. The funding will be used by MCDP to refinance its existing debt, fund acquisitions, and strengthen its balance sheet. 

3. Great Hill Partners acquired a majority interest in Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, a dental ASC chain. The private equity firm acquired its stake from The Rise Fund. 

4. Allied OMS received a minority investment in June 2025 to expand its service offerings, complete acquisitions and scale operations. Global investment firm 65 Equity Partners led the transaction, with a co-investment from private capital investment firm Everberg Capital. 

5. 4. Cumming, Ga.-based OMS360 secured a new credit facility from TPG Twin Brook Capital Partners, which includes a revolving credit facility and a delayed draw term loan.

6. Dana Point, Calif.-based Silver Creek Dental Partners closed a debt financing agreement with Ivy Asset Group, a private credit firm. The financing will support the DSO’s investments in its affiliated practices and continued expansion in California. 

7. Freeport Financial Partners gave a $77 million senior credit facility to Hackensack, N.J.-based Max Surgical Specialty Management to help the MSO form new partnerships with oral surgery practices in the Northeast. 

8. Troy, Mich.-based Smile Partners USA recapitalized earlier this year following a strategic investment from a new continuation fund managed by Silver Oak Service Partners. 

9. Little Rock, Ark.-based Rock Dental Brands secured $90 million from TPG Twin Brook Capital Partners and Audax Private Debt in 2024 to fuel its expansion efforts. 

10. Miami-based Guardian Dentistry Partners received a growth capital investment from Morgan Stanley Private Credit and Prudential Private Capital.

11. TPG Twin Brook Capital provided a $20 million upsizing of Endodontic Practice Partners’ existing senior debt facility. 

12. GTCR, a private equity firm and Avryo Health Services, completed a strategic investment into 7to7 Dental in 2024.
