Bomb squad investigates suspicious package at Louisiana dental office

Investigators responded to a call of a suspicious package left outside of a dental office in Monroe, La., KTVE reported July 21.

Traffic in the area was temporarily shut down while the West Monroe Police Department, the West Monroe Fire Department and the Monroe Bomb Squad responded to the call at Peachtree Dental. 

The package was safely removed, and officials confirmed during the early afternoon hours that the scene was secure and that there was no ongoing danger.

No additional details about the package have been provided.
