Dental technology company Sonendo announced three initiatives to drive its GentleWave business toward cash flow break-even, including a new commercial model, a debt refinancing and operational restructuring.

The company launched a Flex Program that allows endodontists to acquire a GentleWave console with no upfront equipment cost by committing to ongoing procedure instrument purchases, lowering the barrier to adoption, according to an Aug. 25 news release.

Sonendo also closed a $15.5 million senior secured term loan — with access to an additional $4.5 million in committed capital and $5 million in subordinated financing — to refinance its existing $13.7 million debt facility.

The company recorded $14.5 million in revenue for the first half of 2026. Adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to $2.8 million from $6.9 million in the same period last year, a 60% improvement.
