Several dental organizations have launched initiatives aimed at enhancing medical-dental integration.
Three updates:
1. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health and United Concordia Dental launched a saliva screening pilot designed to improve periodontal disease management and advance dental-medical integration.
2. Los Angeles-based Dentulu, a virtual dental care platform, rebranded to Dentulu Integrated Health, integrating dentistry, medicine, diagnostics and preventive health services.
3. The University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry launched an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in partnership with UI Health Mile Square Health Center. Residents will gain experience treating medically compromised, disabled, pediatric, geriatric and underserved patients. They will also work alongside non-dental specialties such as behavioral health, family medicine and pediatrics.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
