Idaho oral surgeon dies in car crash

Mark Baker, DDS, an oral surgeon of Oral Surgery Specialists of Idaho, has died, according to a Sept. 17 report from Idaho State Journal

Dr. Baker’s vehicle struck an elk around 9:27 p.m. on Monday. He died at the scene, according to authorities. 

“Dr. Baker leaves behind a legacy that reaches far beyond the walls of our practice,” the practice wrote in a Facebook post. “The lives he touched, the patients he cared for, and the relationships he built will continue to be a lasting part of his story.”

Shawn Jepsen, DMD, who practiced with Dr. Baker, will continue to care for Dr. Baker’s patients, the report said. 

Oral Surgery Specialists of Idaho has locations in Blackfoot and Pocatello, Idaho, according to its website.
