The next generation of dentists is reshaping what a practice looks like — from building multilocation groups to expanding access in underserved and rural communities. Whether they’ve stayed independent, joined academia or partnered with a DSO, these early- and mid-career dentists are gaining recognition.
This is not a comprehensive or ranked list, and Becker’s does not endorse any individual featured. Entries are listed alphabetically by last name and draw on several independently run recognition programs, including the American Dental Association’s 10 Under 10 Award and Incisal Edge’s “40 Under 40” list.

- Monique Belin, DMD. Dentist, Inverness Endodontics (Inverness, Fla.): ADA 2026 “10 Under 10” honoree. Dr. Belin earned her dental degree and a master’s in endodontics from the University of Florida before founding her own practice, which ranked among the state’s fastest-growing businesses in the 2025 Gator100 awards.
- Robert Dennis, DDS. Dentist, Dennis Dental Care (Mogadore, Ohio): Incisal Edge 2025 “40 Under 40” honoree. An Ohio State University-trained dentist, Dr. Dennis continues his family’s multi-decade dental legacy in the Akron area with a focus on esthetic dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation.
- Andrew Fraser, DMD. Orthodontist, Mashpee Orthodontics (Mashpee, Mass.): ADA 2026 “10 Under 10” honoree. Dr. Fraser double-majored in mechanical and biomedical engineering at Tufts before earning his dental degree at the University of Pennslyvania and completing his orthodontic residency at UCLA as chief resident. He also won the Massachusetts Dental Society’s own “Top Ten Under Ten” award in 2022.
- Rachel Hargraves, DDS. Dentist, Dr. Rachel Hargraves (Ballston Lake, N.Y.): Incisal Edge 2025 “40 Under 40” honoree. A University at Buffalo dental graduate who practiced in Florida before returning to New York, Dr. Hargraves serves as New Dentist Chair for the Fourth District Dental Society. In addition, she is an adjunct professor in the Hudson Valley Community College dental hygiene program.
- Ryan Helgerson, DMD. Dentist, Bookcliff Family Dental (Grand Junction, Colo.): Incisal Edge 2025 “40 Under 40” honoree. A Midwestern University dental graduate, Dr. Helgerson built his own family-dentistry practice in Colorado.
- Anthony Jaramillo, DDS. Partner dentist, All Smiles Dental Center (San Antonio, Texas): Texas Academy of General Dentistry 2026 New Dentist of the Year. A UT Health San Antonio dental graduate and second-generation dentist, Dr. Jaramillo was elected president of the San Antonio Academy of General Dentistry.
- Megan Krohn, DDS. Chief dental consultant, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (Jefferson City, Mo.): ADA 2026 “10 Under 10” honoree, and also an Incisal Edge “40 Under 40” honoree. A UMKC dental graduate, Dr. Krohn previously served as executive vice president of dental services at Swope Health, a federally qualified health center, where she helped launch a dental residency program before moving into her current state public-health role.
- Ivy Lin, DMD. Acting assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery of the University of Washington School of Dentistry (Seattle): ADA 2026 “10 Under 10” honoree. Dr. Lin founded UW Dentistry’s Climate Action and Sustainability Team and also offers dental care in community clinics, serving in the leadership of the Seattle/King County Clinic and volunteering with students at various outreach events.
- Sarah Myers, DDS. Dentist, Myers and Co. Family Dentistry (Cary, N.C.). Incisal Edge 2025 “40 Under 40” honoree. A UNC School of Dentistry graduate, Dr. Myers serves as president of the Academy of General Dentistry in North Carolina and has pursued advanced training in clear aligner therapy and dental sleep medicine.
- Michelle Somma Williamson, DDS. Dentist, Wichita Dental Co. (Wichita, Kan.). Incisal Edge 2025 “40 Under 40” honoree. Dr. Somma Williamson trained at Midwestern University and Wichita State’s advanced education in general dentistry program and has built out a myofunctional-therapy and sleep-apnea treatment focus within her family practice.
