States with highest, lowest rates of adults visiting the dentist

Connecticut has the lowest percentage of adults who did not go to the dentist within the past year, while Mississippi had the highest, according to a WalletHub analysis.

Analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 44 different measures of cost, access and outcomes. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the best care at the most reasonable cost. Read more about the methodology here.

3. Massachusetts
4. Minnesota
5. Washington, D.C.
