In March, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the health department led an operation at Jose Vicenty’s home. He was arrested and charged with practicing without a license after police said he offered a detective dental services, including a tooth extraction and an X-ray. Authorities also found dental equipment and tools, as well as dental orders and prescriptions at Mr. Vicenty’s home, a spokesperson from the health department told WJXT4.
Mr. Vicenty was arrested on the same charge in 2009. At the time, he claimed he had received his certification from the University of Puerto Rico. Records show he pleaded no contest and served 1 1/2 years in prison, reports WJXT4.
In 1998, Mr. Vicenty was arrested on the same charge, according to the 2009 arrest report cited by the news station.
