The work group is seeking insight from local dentists, dental assistants and hygienists to discuss solutions to the shortages via a series of meetings in November and December.

Laurie Traetow, the Iowa Dental Association’s executive director, told The Center Square Oct. 26 that the association is working with the work group to make it easier for people to become dental assistants.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
