Case Western Reserve University’ School of Dental Medicine receives $3M gift: 3 key notes

Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland has received a $3 million gift from the estate of alumnus Oreste “Russ” Zanni, DDS, according to Crain’s Cleveland Business.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Zanni, who received a certificate of advanced graduate study in periodontics from Boston University, suffered a heart attack while teaching there in 2013.

2. The gift to Case Western Reserve will go to support the periodontics department, according to the report,

3. The periodontal clinic at the new Health Education Campus will be named after Dr. Zanni.
