Align pledges $1M to American Association of Orthodontists Foundation

Tempe, Ariz.-based Align Technology has pledged $1 million over five years to the American Association Orthodontists Foundation, the medical technology company said Dec. 21.

The foundation aims to support education and research in orthodontics to improve patient care. Since 1994, the foundation has funded $14.6 million to support 264 fellowships, 303 research awards and more than 100 publications. The foundation also supports disaster relief for orthodontic practices and donates services for children that lack access to care.

Align Technology will begin dispersing the funds this month.
