Here are five points:
1. The three-week program began on Aug. 17 and runs through Sept. 4.
2. The program is one of the few times Jericho Road has offered oral health services in the last 20 years.
3. Jericho Road provides educational and health services to Buffalo’s immigrant, refugee and low-income populations. The organization was founded in 1997.
4. Buffalo’s dental offices are located on the city’s East and West side, resulting in a lack of dental care options for residents. The program is seeking to combat the problem of a lack of accessible dental care.
5. The program has served around 20 patients each day in a van staffed by UB dental students and faculty. The mobile dental van is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
