Smile Train division launches 3D-printed bilateral cleft lip simulator

Simulare Medical, the surgical simulator division of Smile Train, launched a bilateral cleft lip and palate simulator.

Plastic surgeons used 3D-printed materials to create an anatomically accurate, lifelike learning tool for surgeons learning cleft lip and palate reconstructive surgery, Smile Train said March 30.

Smile Train is a cleft-focused nonprofit that has supported more than 1.5 million children worldwide.
