Solmetex provides dental practices with waste compliance products such as amalgam separators. DryShield specializes in an in-treatment patient isolation system that combines high suction evacuation, bite block, tongue shield and an oral pathway protector, according to an April 11 news release.
The acquisition is the second that diversifies Solmetex’s business; the DryShield acquisition follows its purchase of Sterisil, a manufacturer of water line infection control products for dental practices.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
