David Webb, DDS, who practices at Northern California Facial and Oral Surgery in Vacaville, Calif., has been accused of sexually abusing, harassing and assaulting patients.
Misdemeanor charges were filed against Dr. Webb on July 13 and 14 in addition to a misdemeanor charge and civil complaint filed in December and March, respectively, according to court records.
In an Aug. 16 hearing, a judge from the Solano County Superior Court decided not to suspend Dr. Webb’s dental license, stating that decision is up to the Dental Board of California, KTXL reported. However, the judge set a condition that Dr. Webb must have an adult present with him at all times while meeting with patients, according to the report.
Dr. Webb’s attorney told KTXL that there is not currently a date set by the state’s dental board to hold a hearing about Dr. Webb’s dental license.
A pretrial hearing in the criminal case will take place Nov. 14, according to the report.
