Payam Ataii, DMD. Aspen Dental. Dr. Ataii was hired by Aspen Dental in August to be the DSO’s senior vice president of orthodontic support. He has more than 20 years of experience with clear aligners, working on more than 3,600 clear aligner cases.
Jacqueline Burgette, DMD, PhD. University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Burgette is a pediatric dentist and an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She was recently named a White House fellow in the Office of the National Cyber Director.
Mike Costa, DDS. Malone and Costa Dentistry (Knoxville, Tenn.). Dr. Costa has begun offering robotic-assisted dental implant surgery using the Yomi Robotic Dental System. Malone and Costa Dentistry is one of two practices in Tennessee offering robotic-assisted implant surgery using the Yomi robot.
Lindsay Eastman, DDS. Eastman Periodontics & Implants (Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton, Fla.). Dr. Eastman has served as president of the Manatee Dental Society and as a local board member since 1994. He recently affiliated his practice with Today’s Dental Network.
Keith Flack, DDS. North Mankato (Minn.) Family Dentistry. Dr. Flack is the first dentist in Minnesota to use the Yomi Robotic Dental System for dental implant surgery. He is also certified in oral sedation dentistry.
Brian Gray, DDS. Candid. Dr. Gray was hired by Candid in September to be the clear aligner company’s chief dental officer. He has trained nearly 30,000 dentists in clear aligner therapy.
Lily Garcia, DDS. University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Garcia is stepping down as dean from the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine to join Texas A&M University College of Dentistry in Dallas as its new dean in October.
David Lustbader, DMD. South Shore Oral Surgery (Quincy, Mass.). Dr. Lustbader completed the world’s first full arch robotic dental implant procedure with Neocis’ Yomi-Go workflow. He has been using the Yomi robotic dental system for several years and was one of the first dentists to adopt the technology.
Marnie Oakley, DMD. University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Oakley was appointed interim dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in August. She has helped develop and implement the school’s comprehensive care program, which provides patients with oral health services.
Lou Shuman, DMD. Candid. Dr. Shuman was hired by Candid earlier this month to be the clear aligner company’s executive consultant and chief development officer. He is the CEO and founder of Cellerant Consulting, a business management consulting firm for dental companies.
