Pennsylvania dentist gets probation for failing to keep adequate prescription records

A Pennsylvania dentist pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation for refusing to keep adequate records related to prescriptions for schedule II controlled substances.

Daniel Garner, DMD, failed and refused to make and keep records to substantiate the legitimate medical purpose for prescriptions issued to patients for schedule II controlled substances, according to an Oct. 17 news release from the U.S. Justice Department. 

Dr. Garner pleaded guilty to one count and was sentenced to 18 months probation, a $1,000 fine and a special assessment of $25.
