How Western Dental grew in 2022

Orange, Calif.-based Western Dental is one of the largest DSOs in the U.S., supporting more than 300 practices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas and Alabama.

Here are eight ways the company grew this year:

1. The DSO added several practices in California.

2. The company relocated its office in Oakland, Calif., to an expanded 4,620-square-foot space with 16 treatment rooms and new dental equipment. 

3. Western Dental and anchored denture company Renew partnered to build surgery centers in California and Texas.

4. Western Dental partnered with the NFL Alumni Association-Southern California Chapter, Walgreens and Water and Power Community Credit Union to offer free COVID-19 and flu vaccinations and COVID-19 antigen testing before the Super Bowl LVI.

5. Western Dental named Vikash Jhunjhunwala as its next senior vice president of finance. 

6. Sonrava Health, a multispecialty health and wellness company, became the new parent company of Western Dental.

7. Sonrava Health promoted Vikram Sarma to the role of chief growth and partnership officer in December.

8. Sonrava Health opened a co-location housing LooksBrite Eye Center and Western Dental & Orthodontics in South Gate, Calif.
