Here are eight dentists making the news this week.

Washington Magazine named Pamela Marzban, DDS, as one of its “Faces of Washington.”  Dr. Marzban practices at Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Washington, D.C.

The Academy of General Dentistry named Sam Romano, DMD, a fellow. Dr. Romano opened his dental practice in Madison in 1986 and has continued to serve Madison residents.

On May 13, Tony Michelakis, DDS; Aaron Wilharm, DDS; Darren Harrington, DDS; Matt Miller, DDS; and Greg Hohl, DDS, will provide free dental services. The North Carolina dentists are offering the services through “Dentistry From The Heart.”

Retired dentist Preston J. Elkis, DDS, passed away at 91. Dr. Elkis moved his practice to Woodbury, Pa., in the 1990s, where he practiced until retirement, according to philly.com.
