Douglas John Sanders, DDS, died at age 92 of heart disease. Born in Chicago, Dr. Sanders earned his dental degree from Northwestern University.

Aspen Dental is opening a practice in Gadsden, Ala., on April 28. Radhika Katragunta, DMD, will lead the practice.

South Carolina dentist and periodontist Robert Becker, DDS, passed away at age 66. Dr. Becker practiced in Mount Pleasant, according to The Journal Times.

During a Johnson County (N.Y.) Board of Health meeting, Brian Cotant, DDS, spoke on behalf of adding fluoride to the city’s drinking water. He said the fluoride will work to improve kids’ dental health, according to Sheridan Media.com.

New Jersey dentist Scott Krosser, DMD, is training for the New York City Marathon. Dr. Krosser began training for the marathon in November 2015.
