Dr. Isabel Garcia named dean of UF College of Dentistry

 
Isabel Garcia, DDS, MPH, has been named Dean of the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville.

Dr. Garcia, currently deputy director of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, will assume her new position in February.

She has 34 years of experience in public health, clinical practice, teaching, research and administration.

“I am delighted and honored by the opportunity to lead the college and look forward to working with its superb faculty, staff, students and alumni in furthering the college’s tradition of excellence in all fronts – education, patient care and research,” said Dr. Garcia.
