Here is what each bill is proposing:
1. SD747 would authorize dental therapists to practice in the state.
2. SD653 would allow public health dental hygienists to bill third party insurers.
3. SD1594 would allow dental hygienists to administer nitrous oxide.
4. SD2062 would enable dental hygienists to administer dermal fillers and botox.
The Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association advocated for the bills Feb. 15 and asked members to contact legislators for more support.
