9 dental schools that received $5M in research funding

Nine U.S. dental schools received at least $5 million in research funding from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in 2022, according to the institute.

Here are the nine dental schools, ranked by the total amount of research funding awarded:

1. University of Michigan at Ann Arbor: $16.96 million

2. University of California, San Francisco: $12.55 million

3. University of Southern California (Los Angeles): $11.07 million

4. University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia): $8 million

5. University of California Los Angeles: $7.26 million

6. University of Florida (Gainesville): $7.17 million

7. Oregon Health and Science University (Portland): $5.67 million

8. State University of New York at Buffalo: $5.65 million

9. University of Texas Health Science Center (San Antonio): $5.36 million
