2 DSO giants launching continuing education programs

Heartland Dental and The Aspen Group, two of the largest DSOs in the U.S., recently added educational programs to support partners and staff.

1. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental established Heartland Dental University in July to provide continuing education opportunities to its affiliated dentists and employees. Heartland Dental University will provide business and leadership training and clinical education. Each academy program will provide live, virtual and on-demand training opportunities, workshops and classes led by external partners and industry leaders. The company is also partnering with Henry Schein to educate its providers about dental technology updates.

2. Dental supergroup The Aspen Group launched TAG University in August to offer educational opportunities to providers and staff across its five brands. TAG University offers tailored educational pathways for healthcare providers and staff within The Aspen Group’s five brands. Courses are offered under four schools covering clinical care, leadership, business and operations and service and support.
