The Affordable Dentures and Implants practice, led by Stephen Bench, DDS, abruptly closed in March and left patients unable to receive care.
The lawsuit alleges violation of the Vermont Consumer Protection Act, breach of contract, dental negligence and negligent supervision.
The suit named Dr. Branch and Affordable Care as defendants in the lawsuit.
Affordable Care provides back-office support services to dentists in private practice, according to a statement issued to the outlet by the company, in which it claimed it “does not own or operate any dental practices, including that of Dr. Bench.” The sudden closure was in breach of Dr. Bench’s agreement with Affordable Care, the statement alleged.
