The software measures distances in X-rays without the use of calibration objects, Overjet said in a Feb. 22 news release. The technology can be used for a variety of applications, including the identification of implants and measurements for root canal lengths and bone levels.

Overjet said the technology helped its Dental Assist software gain FDA clearance in May 2021.
