The Illumina system uses three wavelengths of light: 450 nanometers of blue light for teeth whitening, 600 nanometers of red light for supporting gum health and 850 nanometers near infrared light for facilitating tooth movement.

The system also comes with a bottle of teeth whitener and aligner cleaning foam formulated to work with Illumina, according to a June 29 news release.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
