The goal of the Medicaid Dental Program Artificial Intelligence Learning and Action Collaborative is to improve operational cost-effectiveness to enhance oral healthcare, according to a July 13 news release from Overjet.
The program will teach participants how to use AI to increase efficiency, with a focus on claims processing.
“By increasing efficiency, lowering the costs of claim reviews and improving program integrity, Medicaid programs will be able shift administrative costs to expanding and improving dental benefits for members,” Mary Foley, executive director of MSDA, said in the release.
Overjet and MSDA plan to introduce the initiative nationwide, beginning with a multistate educational collaboration in more than 18 states.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
