Nashville, Tenn.-based SmileDirectClub earned $126 million in second quarter revenue, according to its quarterly financial report released Aug. 8
Four notes:
- The teledentistry company's revenue was a 17 percent decrease from the first quarter and a 27.8 percent decrease compared to the second quarter of last year.
- SmileDirectClub saw a net loss of $65 million, an $8 million improvement over this year's first quarter and decrease of $10 million from last year.
- SDC had 62,705 shipments of its clear aligners, a 17.8 percent decrease from the first quarter of 2022.
- The company saw an average gross sales price of $1,917 for its clear aligners, compared to $1,890 for the first quarter of 2022.
