Teledentistry company SmileDirectClub reported $107 million in revenue for the third quarter of 2022.
The company released its third quarter financial report Nov. 7.
Here are six notes on the company's third quarter financial performance:
1. The company reported a 15.1 percent decrease over the second quarter of 2022 and a 22.5 percent decrease over the prior year period.
2. SmileDirectClub experienced a net loss of $70 million, $4 million more than the second quarter of 2022 and an improvement of $20 million over the prior year period.
3. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $30 million, a $7 million decrease from the second quarter of 2022 and an improvement of $24 million from the third quarter of 2021.
4. The company had 52,367 unique aligner shipments, down from 62,705 shipments in the second quarter of this year.
5. The average gross sales price for the company's aligners was $1,902, compared to $1,917 in the second quarter of 2022.
6. The company expects total 2022 revenue between $470 million and $500 million and a year-end cash balance between $110 million and $130 million.
