Walmart customers who want to use the services begin by answering questions on their phone about their general and oral health and choosing between a photo or live video consultation. Once the consultation is complete, users are given treatment suggestions and options to find in-person care in their area.

Virtual care checkups are covered by most dental insurers or can cost as low as $35 out of pocket, according to a March 20 news release.
