University of Pittsburgh dental school to add artificial intelligence technology to classrooms

The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine will add artificial intelligence technology to its classrooms through a partnership with Bola AI.

Students will be able to train with Bola AI’s Voice Perio and Clinical Notes products to prepare themselves for entering the dental workforce, according to a Sept. 12 news release. 

The school said it has been piloting the technology at its hygiene clinic for the last few months, with students and faculty experiencing enhanced clinical efficiency, standardized workflow for periodontal charting and improved adherence to infection control protocols.
