Four notes:

1. The proposed technical report focuses on the need for an independent dataset to validate AI algorithms that are used to analyze 2D dental images.

2. The ADA said Oct. 2 that the dataset would be established based on known diagnoses from validated sources and kept by a third party, which should not be an AI manufacturer.

3. The report also proposes methods for establishing the dataset.

4. The document is available for comment until Nov. 7.
