Dental artificial intelligence company Pearl has launched new capabilities for pediatric dentistry.

The Second Opinion for Kids platform builds on the company’s existing pediatric detection abilities under its flagship product while enhancing communication between dentists, parents, and children, according to a Nov. 18 news release.

Pearl said the addition of these capabilities comes at a critical time for pediatric dentistry after the FDA’s recent decision to limit the use of ingestible fluoride products for children.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
