SmileDirectClub, NAACP to offer new $15K diversity scholarship

Teledentistry company SmileDirectClub is partnering with the NAACP to offer the $15,000 SmileDirectClub Scholarship, the company announced May 27.

The new scholarship is accepting applications through June 18 and aims to provide financial support to college students of color pursuing careers in the science, technology, engineering and math fields. The 10 recipients, who will be announced in August, will each receive at least $3,750 to go toward tuition fees each year of enrollment, with a maximum of four years.

Additional eligibility requirements include being a member of the NAACP, full-time enrollment or acceptance to an accredited college or university in the U.S., being a graduating high school senior or undergraduate student, having a 3.0 GPA or above, and being a U.S. resident.
