Here are six dental industry updates that took place in California in February:

Although artificial intelligence has rapidly evolved into an innovative technology to support the clinical and business sides of dentistry, there is still at least one area where improvement is needed, according to one DSO leader.

Chicago-based Aspen Dental opened a location in Oviedo, Fla., on Feb. 27. 

Aflac has hired Michael Fradkin to be senior vice president of its dental and vision business unit.
