Percentage of adults using their dental insurance in each state

Michigan has the highest private insurance adult dental care utilization percentage of any state, with 68% utilization, according to data from the American Dental Association’s Health Policy Institute.

Overall, the U.S. has a combined 57% dental care utilization rate for adults with private insurance, which is defined as any individual between the ages of 21 and 64.
