The American Dental Association urged Utah Gov. Spencer Cox to veto a bill that would prohibit water fluoridation in the state.

A coalition of Kentucky health organizations are opposing a bill that would remove the state's water fluoridation mandate, according to a Feb. 23 report from Northern Kentucky Tribune.

The Utah legislature passed a bill to prohibit water fluoridation in the state's public drinking water systems, Deseret News reported Feb. 21. 

Louisiana lawmakers have prefiled a bill that would repeal the Louisiana Department of Health’s water fluoridation program, Beauregard News reported Feb. 21. 

Several states and cities have taken measures to end water fluoridation as national debate about the practice continues.
