Officials in Wisconsin Rapids are considering banning fluoride from the city's water supply, the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune reported Jan. 31. 

Legislation has been introduced in the Utah House of Representatives to prohibit water fluoridation in the state, KUTV reported Jan. 30.

City officials in Longview, Camas and Battle Ground, Wash., are currently considering ending water fluoridation in their communities as national debate about the practice continues, Oregon Public Broadcasting reported Jan. 28.

The American Dental Association issued draft standards on forensic dental data and antimicrobial oral rinses available for review, according to a Jan. 27 news release. 

Two Florida cities are considering ending water fluoridation in their communities, Florida Today reported Jan. 26.

Fort Pierce, Ormond Beach and Immokalee, Fla., have opted to discontinue water fluoridation in their communities, according to recent reports. 

The Niceville (Fla.) City County unanimously voted to end the use of fluoride in its water supply, according to a Jan. 21 report from Northwest Florida Daily News.

The Environmental Protection Agency has appealed a court order directing the agency to further regulate fluoride in public water systems, according to a Jan. 21 news release from the American Dental Association. 

A Tennessee bill to prohibit water fluoridation has passed its first consideration in the state Senate, WZTV reported Jan. 21. 

More than 70% of Kansas residents support reducing or eliminating fluoride from the state's water supply, according to a Jan. 16 report from The Sentinel.
