In March, Absolute Dental Services learned that a company email account was accessed without authorization, according to an Aug. 22 news release.

Data that may have been impacted includes date of birth, date of medical service, full face photo, physician or medical facility information, medical condition or treatment information, medical device identifier, medical diagnosis information, DNA profile, medical record number or referral.

Patients who may have had their personal data accessed were informed of the incident and Absolute Dental Services provided resources for affected individuals to protect their data, the release said.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
