Five notes:
1. The firm's investigation is centered around whether Align violated federal securities laws.

3. During Align's 2023 second-quarter earnings report, the company claimed that its product portfolio was largely resilient to inflation and other negative economic trends. In the company's third-quarter report, earnings fell short of previous guidance and expectations.
4. After the news of the third-quarter earnings, Align's stock fell by more than 28%.
